Too often, new developments or changes create division — not only in opinion, but physically as well. There’s a disconnect between those driving transformation in towns and cities, and the communities affected by it.
Residents want to feel informed and involved. They’re curious for a glimpse behind the scenes — yet are frequently left on the other side of the fence, with little information or understanding.
Publiq helps bridge this gap by enabling decision-makers to deliver timely, accurate updates and foster meaningful, two-way communication with local residents. Our aim is to inspire positive change by providing innovative solutions that help developers and local authorities build stronger, more connected communities.
We believe in the power of local communities. When residents feel informed, engaged, and valued by local authorities, communities thrive.
People are at the heart of everything we do. Our solutions are designed to be intuitive and accessible to all, ensuring seamless engagement for every community member, regardless of age or experience.
Driven by passion, we push boundaries with visionary solutions that tackle today’s challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s needs — always aiming to exceed expectations.
In 2013, Paul Frankenhuizen and Mark van der Kooi identified a pressing issue — there was no platform that allowed developers and local communities to engage in open dialogue. Both working in the construction and infrastructure sector, they had seen first-hand how vital stakeholder communication was — yet it was often poorly managed or overlooked entirely.
This realisation led them to create De BouwApp, the world’s first community engagement app for the construction industry. Their commitment to improving communication laid the groundwork for what would later evolve into SitePodium, and eventually Publiq.
Today, Publiq connects residents with construction projects, energy developers, and local authorities. By enabling real-time, two-way communication, Publiq ensures residents stay informed about key public matters and have a voice — while developers and authorities benefit from building trust and gaining the support of the community.
