Publiq officially ISO 27001 certified

As of 23 December 2025, Concepteurs B.V., the organisation behind Publiq, is officially ISO 27001 certified. This means that our approach to information security was independently assessed and meets international standards.

At Publiq, everything revolves around trust. Residents reading updates about their street. Local authorities communicating about plans. Project teams collaborating in a dynamic environment. We take that trust seriously. Not as a promise, but confirmed in black and white.

Why this certification?

Over the past few years, we noticed an increase in organisations that wanted to understand how we handle data, risks, and security. Those questions are justified. Digital communication directly affects privacy and reliability.

Until now, we always explained this in detail. We were happy to do so, but it required time and effort from everyone involved. With the ISO 27001 certification, it has now been objectively verified that our processes are in order. That reduces paperwork and provides immediate clarity.

What did this involve?

In 2025, we reviewed our organisation inside and out. Not just from a technical perspective, but across everything related to information security. This resulted, among other things, in:

  • a strengthened information security policy
  • a structured approach to risk analysis and risk treatment
  • documented security measures and clear procedures
  • clearly defined responsibilities and documentation
  • a professionally organised incident management process

An independent party subsequently assessed this approach.

Who was involved?

We worked on this together with Tycho Keuken (De Vaart). The audits were carried out by DNV. The ISO 27001 certificate was issued on 23 December 2025 and is valid until 22 December 2028.

What is covered by the certificate?

The certificate applies to Concepteurs B.V., the organisation behind:

  • Publiq
  • De BouwApp
  • approximately 100 white-label platforms

All platforms operate under the same certified information security management system.

Not a finish line, but part of how we work

ISO 27001 is not a certificate to hang on the wall. It is an ongoing process. We will keep testing and improving our security. For example, we engage ethical hackers to actively identify potential vulnerabilities in our systems.

What does this mean for you?

At first glance, very little changes for users. Publiq remains Publiq: clear, accessible and free from unnecessary noise.

But behind the scenes, you can now be confident that:

  • information is structurally protected
  • risks are actively managed rather than ignored
  • incidents are handled professionally
  • information security is not a project, but an integral part of how we work

Whether you are communicating with residents about a street being dug up, or following a project yourself, you can trust that your data are in safe hands with us.
